Is this only for investor decks?
Yes, primarily. The test is built for founders using a deck to raise from investors. If your material is for grants, partners, customers, or something else, use the Contact page instead and tell me what the message needs to do.
How long does this usually take?
Usually about 10 minutes. The questions are designed to be quick to answer, without forcing you to overthink the mechanics of the deck while you’re taking it.
Do I need a finished deck to take it?
No, but it helps if you already have a real version in progress. The test is most useful when there is already a deck, or at least a working draft, and the question is why it is not converting clearly enough. If you have no deck yet, or the underlying story is still changing significantly, the result may simply be that it is too early to optimise the deck itself.
